Keep Your Fingers Crossed
DAYTON, Oh. (2/21/08) - Dayton's premier gospel ensemble, New Harvest, a group we've been following since it won the 2005 Exalting Him National Talent Search, has just been nominated for three Dove Awards-gospel music's equivalent of the Oscar. The Dove Awards were created in 1969 by the Gospel Music Association to honor outstanding achievements in Christian music. So on April 23rd at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville TN, New Harvest will see if it can pull off wins in three categories:
Urban Recorded Song of the Year - I Can
Traditional Song of the Year - I Can't Stop Praising Him
Traditional Gospel Album of the Year - New Harvest
Trotwood gospel diva, Shirley Murdock and her husband, Dale DeGroat, have also been nominated for their song "Soulfood."
